Feature request.
We need the ability to save images locally on the server when they’re embedded in shared posts. This setting should be enabled or disabled by the server administrator globally for the entire server.
Reason: Essentially, these posts are published on our behalf, so we are responsible for their content. An image could be deleted at its original source or replaced by something else.
We don’t want to look back a year later and see that the image is gone—or worse, that instead of a flower, there’s something… well, people with vivid imaginations can guess what might appear in its place. :)
Please note, this idea applies only to shared posts. Repeated posts are, in essence, not our own.
